Cyfe was founded in 2012. The application was built around the idea that most businesses spend as much as 80% of their time collecting and sorting data into usable reports. So far, Cyfe has made an overall good impression with users and reviewers. The application’s biggest attractions are the many third party widgets it offers, which covers just about every service most businesses use frequently. The application also offers a convenient read only option that lets users easily share data without printing out a report or giving someone access to more than they really need access to.
Cyfe is a dashboard built specifically for the needs of businesses. There are many similar dashboards out there, but Cyfe seems to have put together a collection of tools that support many popular third party services as well as the user’s internal requirements. Users can access data from their internal servers securely and apply it alongside data from third party services to provide a well-rounded view of a department or website.
Cyfe favors a dark design with hints of bold color to give it life. Rather than fall back on the typical blues, greys and whites that are popular with other business-oriented applications, Cyfe makes a strong impression though design. The creators didn’t lose touch with the application’s purpose as they get creative with the color scheme. Cyfe is very well organized and lets users view data in a way that is easy to digest and utilize.
A new user can try Cyfe by clicking the blue “Sign Up Free” button along the left side of the homepage. The form on the next page asks the user for a full name, email address and password. A green message on the following page asks the user to check their email inbox for a sign up confirmation message. This must be accessed prior to logging in for the first time.
Cyfe offers up four subscription plans to its users. The first is the forever free plan, which includes up to five widgets, unlimited dashboards, real time sharing, custom branding, unlimited simultaneous connections and a 10 second custom widget refresh rate. The Basic plan costs $9 per month and includes 20 widgets. The Standard plan costs $29 per month and upgrades to 50 widgets. Cyfe is intended for businesses and professionals. The application is ideal for those who frequently work with reports and want an easier way to retrieve and utilize the data. The application makes it easy to pick and choose which data is the most important to monitor. Users can also share data as a read only dashboard with coworkers, colleagues, clients and anyone else who needs to see it without giving someone total control of their dashboard.
